Quick Action
Quick Action® is developed to help lawn owners grow a greener, stronger and more sustainable turf – even in the most stressful conditions.
The lawn and garden is a place of good times – and when partnering with us, you get high-quality lawn seeds adapted to impress any neighbourhood.
A lawn isn’t just a lawn. It is a place for recreation, for fun and for play. Finding the right grass for a lawn depends on the circumstances. Is the lawn in the shade of trees? Or perhaps it’s bathed in sunshine with no irrigation? Depending on the climate and the use of the lawn different solutions are needed.
To improve performance, we test our grass in all common climates and conditions - hot, cold, wet, dry, sunny, shaded. We're continually refining the range to increase hardiness and reduce maintenance.
In the consumer market we fulfill customer needs by offering innovative concepts in a variety of turf solutions via DLF brands, customer private labels and straight varieties to the wholesale market.

When you sow with SeedBooster® you do two jobs in one time-saving operation: the sowing of your seed and the dressing of nitrogen that usually follows.
With changing environmental and climatic conditions, lawn management has become more demanding. We offer grasses that can better handle spring and early summer drought.
With Microclover® you can grow a green lawn year round - with minimum effort. As one of the few plant species, clover is producing its own nitrogen fertilizer.
The Accelerator coating increases germination speed and gives up to 38% more grass in the first 7 days after sowing, and a faster establishment of your new lawn.
The Turfline® range covers every possible need for the consumer. Whether the need is for a drought and heat tolerant mixture, a mixture that thrives in shady areas or maybe a wear tolerant mixture for the family lawn – the Turfline® range has the solution.
Johnsons Lawn Seed grass seed mixtures represents excellence in lawngrass. Based on extensive consumer research, Johnsons Lawn Seed produces high-quality options tailored to the consumer’s individual requirements as well as to the changing weather patterns.
Turf has to work harder these days. As the weather becomes increasingly unpredictable, players still expect year-round pitch use. The solution is 4turf®, a range of highly resilient, low-temperature turf varieties that make the turf manager’s job easier. And the time to overseed is now.
Growing and managing turfgrass is getting tougher. The pressure is on to use fewer resources – less pesticide, fertiliser, water, and management time – to grow turf sustainably. Red fescue is the answer. It doesn’t just perform well on all environmental measures, it is also fine textured and has a nice colour.
Grass-seed consumption during the past year has been slower than during the two previous years when COVID-19 forced people to stay at home and devote more time to their gardens. Now that we’re back to normality, seed consumption has returned to typical levels. Inevitably, there are other issues to worry about. Inflation, which has fallen from its highest levels, continues to be a concern, driven primarily by rising gas, electricity, and overall consumer prices. Inflation is still far higher than people are used to, which is why it continues to dampen consumer spending and reduce trade activity. As always, the weather plays its part in the seed industry. Last year we enjoyed an exceptional harvest with abundant yields and excellent dry storage conditions. Not so for the 2023 seed production year, which offers a stark contrast to the success of the previous year.
