Our People

Our employees are our most valuable resource.

We work to support well-being and ensure good and safe working conditions across our organisation, strengthening our ability to attract and retain qualified employees and our position as a responsible employer.

As a global company, we embrace cultural diversity and strengthen our shared identity. We balance global standards with local needs and value both the strength of being a global organisation and the flexibility that comes with local presence.

Health and safety

DLF promotes a safe and healthy working environment for all employees across all locations. In our DMA analysis, we have identified health and safety as a significant risk area in our own operations, due in part to exposure to dust and other machinery-related risks associated with our operational activities.

Local legislation varies across locations, affecting both the management of health and safety activities and compliance with relevant requirements. We therefore implement initiatives and corrective measures close to operations to ensure that our efforts are tailored to local regulatory and operational circumstances and remain effective.

Development and Engagement

We are proud of our ability to attract and retain employees and of the relatively high level of employee tenure across the organisation. To support this, we strive to offer positions that meet employee expectations regarding job content, professional development, organisational culture, working conditions, career opportunities and compensation.

At DLF, we conduct global employee surveys to support a healthy, safe and inclusive workplace. The surveys and subsequent follow-up dialogues are important tools for identifying and prioritising actions.

Culture and Community

Over the past decade, we have developed from a Europe-focused organisation into a global company that embraces cultural diversity and strengthens our shared identity. We value both the strength of being a global organisation and the flexibility that comes with local presence.

DLF’s purpose,“We enrich land, life and people through seeds and science”, defines our overall direction and serves as the foundation for our priorities. Our global values translate our purpose into action and support shared behaviour across the organisation.

The development of our corporate culture is a key element in delivering our Connecting to Grow strategy. Through the 6 Culture Conversations initiative, we support dialogue, reflection and shared development across the organisation and strengthen a culture that contributes to engagement, collaboration and long-term growth.
