J Ultrafine Rye 25
- Fine-leaved turf with excellent durability
- Rapid establishment and recovery
- High shoot density and strong turf cover
- Disease tolerance from selected fescues
- Good surface smoothness and uniformity
J Ultra Fine Rye is designed for the renovation of intensively used golf surfaces where rapid establishment, durability and a refined appearance are equally important. It combines ultra-fine perennial ryegrasses with three complementary red fescue types and a small proportion of browntop bent.
The ultra-fine perennial ryegrasses establish rapidly and provide wear tolerance, recovery and dependable turf cover. Chewings fescue adds shoot density, fine texture and improved disease tolerance. Slender creeping red fescue contributes fineness, drought tolerance and gradual gap-filling ability, while strong creeping red fescue improves persistence and recovery through its rhizomes. Browntop bent helps tighten the surface and contributes to a smoother, more uniform finish.
This combination brings together the durability and establishment speed of ryegrass with the density and playing qualities of fine turf species. J Ultra Fine Rye is an attractive choice for fairways, tees, driving ranges and pathways where the surface must recover quickly without losing its fine, professional appearance.
