The broad adapted variety
OVAMBO 1 is really an outstanding product in all aspects. Strong mass formation after the cuts leads to very efficient foundation of high yield.
It is therefore not surprising that the yield of the first cut is quite higher than the yield of all other comparable varieties in the same segment (see chart below).
The further agronomical qualities are royal as well. It is rust resistant and the general health of OVAMBO 1 is in very best condition.
The winter hardiness and the persistency are much better compared to the average of the varieties available in Germany, because of the moor (acid soils) recommendation.
