Outstanding ground cover
Good ground cover is appreciated in conventionnal farming but finds even higher value in organic farming due to better avoidance and competition with weeds. The excellent ground cover certainly explains the very good persistency of ZORGUE.
Rust tolerance - keep the quality high
Both French and UK data confirm the good rust tolerance. It preserves the forage quality and palatability also during autumn regrowth when forage availability can by limited after a dry summer.
High quality of conservation cuts
The high ground cover would rank ZORGUE as a variety for grazing, but the good quality (D-value) of the first two cuts in conservation management, qualifies ZORGUE as a perfect fit for mixed use.
