A “classic” diploid
INDICUS 1 is a “classic” diploid variety with efficient yield.
The highest yield is carried at the first cut, which is approved by the BSA classification with grade 8. This is the highest grade in the German maturity group 6. (see chart below).
INDICUS 1 is convincing as well with further agro-ecological qualities: A lot of herbage, even after second regrowth, provides highest quality which is shown in the forage quality of silage or in the pasture growth.
INDICUS 1 has proved high endurance and winter hardiness after the lowland test in the north of Germany and has been given an “M” for lowland (moor) recommendation.
