Chewings Fescue is often used under close mowing. CALLIOPE can take this as no other variety and still keep the outstanding density.
Beautiful dark green colour in summer
Red fescue in general has low need for water during summer time compared to i.e. Perennial Ryegrass. CALLIOPE has proven to keep the nicest dark green summer colour in the STRI trials in the UK and thus shown the strength also in this respect.
Good disease resistance
Red thread is one of the most serious diseases in Red Fescue, but CALLIOPE has a good and safe resistance to Red Thread.
