J Green
- Modern fescue-bent mixture
- Fine, dense and uniform putting surface
- Strong disease tolerance from selected fescues
- Excellent close-mown performance
- Good surface recovery and year-round quality
- For greens, tees, approaches and surrounds
J Green is a refined fescue-bent mixture developed as an alternative to the traditional 80:20 greens formulation. It combines chewings fescue, slender creeping red fescue and two browntop bent varieties to deliver a dense, fine-textured surface with excellent playing quality.
Chewings fescue contributes high shoot density, fine leaf texture and valuable disease tolerance, while slender creeping red fescue adds drought tolerance, salt tolerance and gradual lateral recovery. Browntop bent strengthens close-mown performance and helps create a smooth, cohesive and uniform surface.
The complementary species provide a good balance between fine-fescue character and the density and recovery of browntop bent. This helps produce reliable ball roll, good surface trueness and a clean visual finish. J Green is suitable for construction, renovation and overseeding where the objective is a high-quality and consistent golf surface throughout the playing season.
