Multiple World Cup events in Oceania on turf from the DLF Group
New Zealand shines as global sporting hub: PGG Wrightson Turf takes the stage in Women's World Cups
New Zealand hosted the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup
In October 2022, New Zealand hosted the Women’s Rugby World Cup, and in 2023, New Zealand, together with Australia, provides the settings for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in soccer
The majority of the games played for these events will take part at stadiums where PGG Wrightson Turf is a key partner, and the surfaces are sown with DLF Group varieties.
For the cricket event, we highlighted our involvement through a campaign focused on the host grounds which confirmed our position as market leader and supplier of turf grass products to the premier cricket grounds in New Zealand.
We interviewed key stadium staff about the upcoming games and their pitch preparations and we created articles and social media posts throughout the entire World Cup event. We will adopt a similar approach for the two upcoming World Cups.
