Result of interspecific crossing
BECVA is the result of an italian ryegrass crossed with a tall fescue and backcrossed several times to the Italian parent. The result is an appearance like an Italian ryegrass with improved characteristics.
Very high DM yield
+8% higher dry matter production was the result of the official Czech testing, compared to the Italian ryegrass standard variety LOLITA.
Top forage quality
With a good disease resistance (rusts) and a high sugar content, BECVA produces forage of very high nutritionnal quality.
